| Notice how the poles achieve the equivalent of lateral bracing by virtue of their embedment in post holes. The Building is a prototype attempt to combine the curvilinear beauty of cob with the insulation value and the ability to get a building permit of straw bale. | ||||||||||||
| A living roof has also been incorporated into the design. In theory, a living roof never needs to be replaced, and once established needs little or no maintenance! If monitored and cared for, a living roof can be self-sustaining and maintaining indefinitely. | ||||||||||||
